Root-Taan

Root-Taan is a microbiological control agent that contains Bacillus subtilis HB2001 and Pseudomonas maltophilia AG13. These microbes were selected and screened for antibiosis toward specific pathogens by Korean Rural Development Administration Research Center and our company affiliated Biotechnology Research Institute. These control agents show antibiosis/antagonism towards pathogens responsible for stem and rot diseases, damping-off disease, and club root disease of crucifers.

They also produce specific compounds effective in controlling peronospora and powdery mildew disease. Through the formulation technology developed in the Biotechnology Research Institute, the survival rate of the microorganism is enhanced and the efficacy of the control agent is maximized. Two microorganisms are packed in a microbial soup base called icro-soup that is designed to use with Root-Taan. Chemical pesticides not only cause soil and ground water pollution, but also leave residual pesticide problems, and can select resistant strains of the pathogen. Root-Taan is the choice for controlling plant disease to produce safe crops for human consumption while maintaining healthy environment.

University test results and grower trials show that Root-Taan is highly effective for stem and root diseases, damping-off disease, club root disease of crucifers, peronospora, and powdery mildew disease. Typical crops tested are Chinese Napa Cabbage, Cucumber, Asian Pepper, Asian melon, apple, grape, pear, tomato, potato, and rose.

Maximum effect of Root-Taan is dependent upon specific application guidelines developed to elicit antibiosis of the control agents. When used as part of a complete crop management program, Root-Taan? will be an excellent addition to maximize the production yield.
