Pestout

Pestout is a biological pesticide to control small pests such as aphids. The active microorganisms responsible for the biocontrol are Bacillus subtilis IC2005 and Bacillus thuringiensis va. insecticides ME2001. These strains are isolated and improved in our company affiliated Biotechnology Research Institute. The toxins produced by these two Bacillus species kill or decrease the number of pests by eliciting toxic effect, once inside the gut of the pests.

To enhance the maximum effect of the biocontrol organisms, Bacillus subtilis IC2005 and Bacillus thuringiensis va. insecticides ME2001 are formulated in a separate microbial soup base, Micro-Soup that is designed to use with the liquid booster. Visual effects of dead pests are seen on the surface of leaves within 48hours of Pestout use. Typical effects on aphids are (1) body discoloration (black to dark brown) (2) dried body (3) body distortion (round configuration). Typical crops tested are Peach, Apple, Pear, Asian Melon, dropwort (Japanese parsley), and rose. Maximum effect of Pestout is dependent upon specific application guidelines developed to elicit maximum effect of the control agent. When used as part of a complete crop management program, Pestout will be an excellent addition to maximize the production yield.
